5 Steps to an Elegant (and Pinterest-worthy) July 4th Centerpiece

As July 4th approaches, it's time to get ready for a celebration filled with fireworks, barbecues, and quality time with loved ones. Decorating for Independence Day doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. In our previous blog post, we shared that custom centerpieces can be a simple way to let your home reflect your patriotic spirit. With a few simple steps, you can transform your home into a festive haven that captures the spirit of the holiday. You’ll find multiple ways to do this in our last blog.

Here’s one centerpiece idea to keep your space trendy and honoring of the holiday:

1-Choose a tray  to serve as the base for your centerpiece.

2-Gather pillar candles and items that can help you achieve different levels of height for your candles.

We prefer LED flameless candles - less mess and equal beauty. The best feature is the wick never runs out! You can use old books, blocks of wood, or candle holders to achieve the varying heights. We used a combination of these items in our tutorial.

3-Shop locally for several bundles of healthy, fresh baby's breath. 

The larger your centerpiece, the more you will need to achieve a full effect. The best source near our shop is Trader Joe’s! Look for stems that are still green and full of life. This flower is still beautiful when dried, but it’s hard to achieve our affect if the babies breath is crumbling all over your table.

4-Assemble your elegant masterpiece.

If using multiple colors of pillar candles, make sure to mix the colors in a way that is visually appealing. 

Don’t be stingy with your fresh floral - fill it full! The white flowers and natural green hues of its stems are beautiful compliments to the deep tones of your pillar candles.

5-Enjoy the “ooooh” and “ahhhh” from family and friends!
